board - taken in tow to Paignton Harbour before returning to station.

Location of Casualty Off Churston Point, Elberry

Service Launched to the 23 ft sport boat 'Wake Up' with engine failure and slipping anchor

in danger of grounding on rocks near Elberry Cove. ILB recovered her under tow

to Brixham Harbour. All OK

Location of Casualty St Mary's Bay - South

Service Launched to assist recovery of two casualties who fell down the steps at St

Mary's Bay. HM Coastguard team and ambulance in attendance.

Both casualties returned in the ILB on stretchers to the lifeboat station pontoon

where two ambulances were waiting.

Additional Notes Access to St Mary's Beach is via 113 steep and irregular steps. Sea rescue is

the safest casualty extraction route.

Location of Casualty Fishcombe Point, Brixham

Service Both lifeboats tasked to the 30ft yacht Dauphine with four people on board

following a May Day call. The yacht apparently came into contact with rocks and

lost all power at Fishcombe Point. With the Northerly wind she was in danger of

grounding. Passenger vessel Brixham Belle III established a tow and held the

yacht off pending arrival of the lifeboats. Yacht checked for hull damage and water

ingress before being towed to her mooring in Brixham Marina. No injuries

sustained.

Service Launched to a 17ft speed boat with two people on board and apparently out of fuel

approx one mile east of Paignton Pier. ILB tasked and towed them to their

Torquay Marina berth.

Location of Casualty 200 Yards off Goodrington

Service Launched to a broken down jet ski observed from shore and waving for assistance

some 200 yards off Goodrington Beach. ILB tasked and recovered the jet ski

under tow to Paignton Harbour.

Location of Casualty Paignton Pier

Service Launched following report of a depressed person having entered the sea. Police

and Ambulance in attendance. Whilst on passage person came out of the sea

and was taken away by ambulance. ILB stood down.

Location of Casualty

Service Both lifeboats launched on a missing person search following discovery of

clothes and a note on Torre Abbey Sands. Extensive search of all coastline

between Hopes Nose and Roundham Headland. Person eventually returned

home - search terminated 11:08

Additional Notes HM Coastguard teams and Helo "IJ" together with both lifeboats searched area
